AI assistant connectors

This addendum adds to our Privacy Policy. It covers using Doing Work through an AI assistant, such as Grok, Muse, ChatGPT or Claude, with our connectors: Home Service Quotes by Doing Work for homeowners and Field Service Business Platform by Doing Work for shops. Everything in the Privacy Policy still applies.

Signing in

You sign in on app.doingwork.work with your email and a one-time code. We give the assistant an access token for the connector you chose, not your code. A token only works with that one connector. You can disconnect at any time from the assistant, which ends that token's access.

What we receive

Only what you or your assistant send to the connector's tools. For homeowners: your email, first name, phone if you give it, job details, photos, the property address and your shop choices. For shops: the job, quote and invoice details needed for the action you asked for.

How we use it

Only to complete your request and to run, secure and support the connector, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Homeowner job details go only to shops you approve. Your street address goes only to shops you move on to a quote, and your phone and email go only to the shop you hire.

The same outside services listed in the Privacy Policy process data for us: Fly.io runs the app, Neon stores our database, Cloudflare runs our website and DNS, Resend delivers email, Twilio delivers text messages, Anthropic and OpenAI run the homeowner assistant and shop matching, and Google Maps Platform powers shop search. Each gets only what it needs to do that job.

The assistant's provider

Your conversation with the assistant is handled by its provider under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. Information the connector returns to the assistant, like shop names or quote amounts, is also seen by that provider. Some providers, such as Meta for Muse, may use connector interactions to run and improve their assistant.

How long we keep it

We keep a homeowner quote request made through a connector, with its photos and messages, for 2 years after your last activity on that request, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner. Details a shop already received, such as the contact details you shared with the shop you hired, stay in that shop's own records.

Shop data sent through the shop connector is kept like the rest of your shop's data, as described in "How long we keep data" in the Privacy Policy.

Disconnecting ends the assistant's access right away. To get a copy of your data or delete it, email contact@doingwork.work.
