Job photos for the whole crew, in the $49 shop app

Doing Work puts job photos where the job lives. Shoot before and after photos in the app, mark them up, require the shots each job needs, and send your customer a clean photo page. It is $49 a month for the whole team, and scheduling, quotes and invoices are in the same plan.

Job photos are part of the one $49 plan. Whole team included. Month-to-month. 30-day money-back. Updated 2026-10-14.

What you get today

Photo tools that are live in the app

  1. In-app camera

Start the camera inside the job and keep shooting. Photos go to the job, not the phone's camera roll.

  2. Match the angle

When you shoot the after photo, the job's before photo sits faintly over the live view so you can line up the same angle. The guide is never part of the picture.

  3. Before, after and other

Tag each photo before, after or other. Before and after photos from a visit show as pairs.

  4. Mark up a photo

Draw, add arrows and type labels on a photo. The original stays as it was.

  5. Photo checklists

Set the shots each service needs, like a before overview and an after overview. You can require them before a job can be marked done. Off until you turn it on.

  6. Works without signal

No signal on site? Photos are saved on the phone and added to the job when the signal comes back.

  7. A photo page for your customer

Send a link to a page of the job's customer-visible photos. You confirm it before it goes live, can set it to expire, can turn it off anytime, and can see how many times it was opened.

  8. A Google review button on that page

Add your Google review link and it shows on every customer photo page.

  9. Crew access by job

Owners and office staff see every job's photos. Techs see photos for the visits they are assigned to.

  10. Time and place, kept private

Doing Work keeps when a photo was taken and, if the phone recorded it, where. Location is never shown on the customer photo page.

Same app

Photos sit on the job

The job that has the photos also has the schedule, the quote, the invoice and the pay link. Your office does not copy photos from one app into another.

What we do not have yet

No native phone app, no video capture, no photo comments, no PDF photo reports, no custom photo tags and no project map. If you need those today, CompanyCam has them.

Questions

Job photo questions

Is Doing Work a CompanyCam alternative?

For job photos, yes for many small shops. Doing Work has an in-app camera, before and after tags, photo markup, photo checklists, offline capture and a customer photo page. It is also the rest of the shop: scheduling, quotes, invoices, pay links and online booking, for $49 a month for the whole team.

What does CompanyCam do that Doing Work does not?

CompanyCam has native iOS and Android apps, video capture, photo comments and @mentions, custom photo tags, PDF photo reports, a project map, LiDAR measuring on supported iPhones, and unlimited cloud storage. Doing Work runs in your phone's browser and has none of those today. If those matter most, CompanyCam is the better fit.

Do I need an app from the App Store?

No. Doing Work runs in the browser on your phone. There is no App Store or Google Play app.

How much storage is included?

50 GB of photo and video storage is included in the $49 plan. After that it is $0.10 per GB per month, or uploads pause if you leave extra usage off. Your saved photos stay either way.

Is there a free trial?

No. Doing Work has a 30-day money-back guarantee and is month-to-month. You can try the demo shop first without signing up.
