Route planning with your agent
Give each worker the day's stops in order, with directions.
What Doing Work provides
schedule.route: one worker's visits for a day in time order, with the customer's name, phone and address, a map link per stop and one driving directions link for the first 10 stops.visits.update: move a visit. It returns any overlap, time off or outside hours conflict.visits.assign: change who is going.visits.onTheWay: sends the customer an on-my-way notice with the ETA.
What your agent does
Sends each worker their route and directions link for the day. If you want a better order, it uses a maps tool you choose, shows you the new times, then moves visits in Doing Work.
Paste this into your agent
"Send each worker tomorrow's route. Read https://doingwork.work/docs/agent-guides/route-planning/ first. Use schedule.route for each worker for tomorrow and send them the stops and the directions link. If the order looks wrong, suggest a better one and show me the new times before you change any visit with visits.update."
Limits
- schedule.route keeps the booked order. It doesn't optimize the route.
- The directions link covers the first 10 stops.
- A better order depends on the maps tool your agent uses.
