Payroll with your agent
Carry approved hours to your payroll service.
What Doing Work provides
payroll.getPeriodandpayroll.setPeriod: the shop's pay period, weekly, every two weeks, twice a month or monthly.payroll.hours: approved hours per worker for a pay period, by day and by work, drive, shop and break time, plus anything still waiting for approval or still running. It says when the period is ready.payroll.exportCsv: the same approved hours as a CSV, one row per worker per day, for a payroll service.timesheets.decide: approve or reject time (owner or office).
What your agent does
Checks that the pay period is ready, gets the approved hours or the CSV, and enters them in your payroll service (for example Gusto, ADP or QuickBooks Payroll) using your own account.
Paste this into your agent
"Get approved hours for each worker for this pay period from Doing Work. Read https://doingwork.work/docs/agent-guides/payroll/ first. Use payroll.hours, list anything still waiting for approval, and show me the totals before you enter them in my payroll service. Use payroll.exportCsv if my payroll service takes a file."
Limits
- Doing Work doesn't run payroll, pay wages or handle payroll tax. It gives hours, not pay.
- Only approved time goes in the totals and the CSV. Waiting time is listed separately.
