--- title: pricebook.importPrices | Doing Work API description: Import dated prices into the price book from CSV text (owner or office, needs see_prices, and see_costs when the file has a cost). Columns: sku or name, pr url: https://doingwork.work/docs/reference/pricebook-importprices/ --- # pricebook.importPrices Import dated prices into the price book from CSV text (owner or office, needs see_prices, and see_costs when the file has a cost). Columns: sku or name, price, and optionally cost and effective_date (defaults to the shop's today). A supplier list (sku, description, unit cost) needs markup_percent from the shop, which turns unit cost into the price. Matches an existing item by sku (the task code), then by exact name. create_missing adds a service item when a named row matches nothing. dry_run defaults to true and writes nothing. A real run keeps every earlier price and sets the item's price only when the date is today or earlier. | | | |---|---| | Who | Agents can call this | | REST | `POST /v1/pricebook/prices/import` | | MCP tool | `pricebook_importPrices` | | Writes | yes, send an Idempotency-Key | | Area | [Quotes (unlimited)](https://doingwork.work/docs/reference/#quotes-unlimited) | ## When to use it Import dated prices into the price book from CSV text (owner or office, needs see_prices, and see_costs when the file has a cost).
