End a membership: the owner removes a worker, or a worker leaves. Shop tokens end with it. The owner cannot leave; ownership moves only by transfer.

## When to use it

The owner removes a worker, or a worker leaves. Confirm first: their access and tokens end right away.

## What to tell the owner

They no longer have access to the shop. The owner can't leave; ownership moves only by transfer.

## Output

JSON. The response shape isn't published yet; read the fields you need and ignore the rest. Errors are `{code, message, status}`.

## Errors

| Code | Status | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| `owner_cannot_leave` | 409 | The owner can't leave a shop. Ownership moves only by transfer. |
| `forbidden` | 403 | This worker's role can't do this, or it needs a person's own sign-in rather than an agent token. Tell the person who can. |
| `invalid_input`, `invalid_token`, `rate_limited` |  | Can happen on any call. See [errors](https://doingwork.work/docs/errors/). |
