# jobs.requestConfirmation

Get a single-use link the customer opens to confirm the work was done (or flag a problem).

|  |  |
|---|---|
| Who | Agents can call this |
| REST | `POST /v1/jobs/confirmation-link` |
| MCP tool | `jobs_requestConfirmation` |
| Writes | no |
| Area | [Signed job records](https://doingwork.work/docs/reference/#signed-job-records) |

## When to use it

The work is done. Ask the customer to confirm it. Send them the single-use link.

## What to tell the owner

Here's a link for your customer to confirm the work. Their answer goes on the job record.

## Input

| Field | Type | Required |
|---|---|---|
| `job_id` | string | yes |

## Example

```http
POST https://doingwork.work/v1/jobs/confirmation-link
content-type: application/json
Idempotency-Key: 3f1c...
{
  "job_id": "00000000-0000-4000-8000-000000000000"
}
```

## Output

JSON. The response shape isn't published yet; read the fields you need and ignore the rest. Errors are `{code, message, status}`.

## Errors

| Code | Status | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| `not_found` | 404 | No such record, or this worker can't see it. |
| `conflict` | 409 | The record is in the wrong state for this, for example sending a quote that's already signed. Read it again and pick the next step. |
| `invalid_input`, `invalid_token`, `rate_limited` |  | Can happen on any call. See [errors](https://doingwork.work/docs/errors/). |
